LoL: Janna more broken than ever after patch 12.2?

The consequences of the changes made to champions with each patch of League of Legends may be indecipherable. Although we know that a drop in damage on a skill is likely to harm them, when “balancing” is done, which takes power away from one part of the character and redistributes it elsewhere, things change.

Because it’s not just about the damage a champion does. So-called quality-of-life tweaks, or tweaks that give the character a little something extra and would seem trivial at first, can tip the scales. Riot Games has rolled out some changes to Janna included in the “balancing” area of patch 12.2. In other words, a change intended to refine its gameplay without modifying its win rate too much.. But that’s not really what’s happening.

riot augustcreator of several champions and in charge of many such changes, commented at the time the following about the intentions of this mini rework of Janna: “ Janna players didn’t seem to care about Q’s damage, so we took some damage out of her to add potency elsewhere.”

The damage on a support can be important for champions with the potential to bring down their opponents… But that’s not the case with Janna. Of course, the extra damage is appreciated, because in the end it’s all about scaring your opponents and winning your lane, but Janna is powerful due to her crowd control and shield giving AD to his partner.

Janna back on top after years

League of Legends

At present, Janna is experiencing her biggest surge in popularity since mid-2018by which time there weren’t supports like Seraphine, Senna, Yuumi, or Pyke yet, and naturally all champions were a bit more popular back then since there weren’t that many. His win rate shouldn’t have changed too much, but he’s already at 51.56% at the Platinum level.with very different variations depending on the leagues.

Mazrima master rank player with Janna, believes that the champion is completely broken thanks to the changes made. His reasoning is as follows: “His E grants +20% healing and shield effectiveness each time you manage to slow an enemy with your W – Alizée. Icy Enhancement grants an additional 9% slow for every 10% shield and ability power of care.”

With only two items, it is possible to get an additional 70% slow with the Glacial Augment buff. This, added to the 15% damage reduction applied by the key rune on your allies, makes for a really powerful combination. And to all of this, it’s easier than ever to press Q – Howling Wind.

Janna could therefore see her winrate increase in the coming days, unless Riot Games decides to act.

Level skins, Riot Games does not skimp on League of Legends. But by wanting to get out of it too much, it sometimes happens that small careless errors slip into the final renderings. And that’s exactly what happened on the china skins splashart.
