Riot Games continues with its medium-range updates and for this League of Legends patch 12.13, it is the Martial Maiden that is concerned. Sivir, one of the oldest champions in Summoner’s Rift, is getting a fairly substantial update to his spell kit;

One of Riot Games’ big projects in League of Legends Season 12 is to improve some of the oldest champions or those who have held up the least well over time. The devs can’t make big visual and gameplay upgrades all at once, but they manage to make small, lesser tweaks to champions whose kit just needs a few tweaks. This rejuvenation process still involves a good number of changes in character abilities and that Sivir will undergo in the upcoming patch 12.13, in which Nilah will also be released.

Changes

As patch 12.13 arrives tonight, Riot Games has confirmed the changes to Sivir. Even if these modifications do not change the identity of the champion, this small update should do her good. She is currently one of the least cast so-called conventional ADCs in this role. Only Kog’Maw is less popular than her. All ranks combined, the Martial Virgo is selected 3.2% of the time, for a miniscule ban rate of 0.8% and a winrate of just around 50%.

Identify

These changes are quite significant, even if the identity of Sivir seems well preserved. This should still have a little impact on its gameplay, and even change the order of up spells depending on the usefulness of the W (not sure, but the option is worth considering). Riot Games wanted to maintain the identity of the character as a sniper with consistent area damage, and an excellent ability to clear minion waves. Chances are it won’t turn out as good as other characters, who have quadrupled in popularity since their revamp, but Sivir should at least be able to find a place for herself in some comps.

twitch

The League of Legends showmatch between the two Internet stars took place on July 9. The winning team won $150,000, but this meeting did not stop talking about it. Bjergsen should have participated, but Riot Games rules prevented him from doing so.
