LoL: This champion is completely broken in ARAM!

While it’s common for a champion to get their legs broken if they’re too powerful in Summoner’s Rift (the classic mode), it happens more rarely when that protagonist dominates the Howling Abyss (the ARAM mode map, All Random All Mid). One of the most well-known examples involves Sona, who was benefiting way too much from enhanced mana regen. Riot Games did not hesitate to do dirty things to the champion, reducing the effects of her healing and shields by 20%. From the strongest champion of the Howling Abyss, Sona has become a character generally ranked in the mid-low part of the tierlists for this game mode. Such a fate could well await Senna.

A champion made for ARAM?

In a previous article where we mentioned the best categories of champions to succeed in the 0 death challenge in ARAM, the ADCs but especially the supports seemed to be the most judicious choice. Senna belongs to these two categories, and his impact is very far from negligible in this game mode. While the shooters are relatively without objects, Senna’s spell kit still allows him to be useful, even clutching certain clashes with a heal or a well-placed CC. Since she can passively gain attack range, once a few items have been obtained, Senna can fulfill his role of Damage Dealer in a safe way, while continuing to support his allies a little. The champion’s kit therefore has a considerable advantage in this game mode, while it is rather balanced in Summoner’s Rift.

Since patch 12.2, Senna hasn’t dropped below 60% winrate in ARAM. Its lowest rate was in patch 12.6, with 60.23% wins. Such dominance can happen if a champion is too strong for a few patches, but usually goes away with nerfs that come sooner or later. Only today Senna doesn’t seem to need a boost or a kick in the Rift. It would therefore not be surprising if she received a nerf specifically related to this game mode.

Other random monsters

Despite her monstrous winrate, Senna was only the second best champion in ARAM last patch. The first place is occupied by Olaf, who benefits from his buffs of 12.9 to go up to 65% of victories. In addition, he is much less popular than Senna, so we can imagine that a good part of the players who keep him in ARAM know how to play him a little, while Senna is probably more taken at random, because it is easier to play in this game mode. renata completes the top three with 59% wins. We will also have to keep an eye on Samira, who gained 4% victory over the last patch and is now at the foot of the podium. With a progression of “only” 3.88% of victories, Kayle takes the fifth place.

If by chance you come across Leblanc, Shaco, Tryndamere, Akali, Zoé or Zed, it might be wise to drop a roll. These six champions are the only ones with less than 45% win ratethe prize going to Leblanc and his 40%.
