The popular "Pingu" series apparently not only inspires children, but also penguins themselves! As the rockhopper penguin Pierre is currently proving in the Australian "Perth Zoo", the cute penguin made of plasticine is also interesting for real penguins.

Because Pierre currently has to be nursed back up in the zoo, far away from his home, he is pretty lonely. There are no conspecifics here. Fortunately, however, the carers then come up with the saving idea of how they can cheer up Pierre – and that apparently works in a similar way to us humans: with a series marathon!
