Long-term project – as a replacement forest: LASK has to plant 15,000 trees

Yes, it’s true!
Above all, LASK General Secretary Gernot Fellinger is currently not only struggling with his own Christmas tree, but with other 15,000 trees. More precise: with red beeches, common oaks, sessile oaks and larches. Not just for the festival, of course, but as a long-term project. “We and FC Juniors Upper Austria expanded our training center four years ago and had to clear 21,000 square meters of existing forest for it. What we were allowed to do under the condition that we reforest 28,000 square meters, ”explains Fellinger. Which is easier said than done for the black and white tree expert.
