L’Oréal: 27.6% increase in net EPS in 2022 – 02/09/2023 at 18:15


(CercleFinance.com) – L’Oréal published sales of 38.26 billion euros for 2022, up 10.9% like-for-like compared to the previous financial year. 28% of turnover is achieved via e-commerce.

On a comparable basis, business grew in all divisions, both in professional products (+10.1%, to 4.4 billion euros), and in consumer products (+8.3%, to 14 billion euros), L’Oréal Luxe (+ 10.2%, to 14.6 billion euros) or even Active Cosmetics (+21.9%, to 5.1 billion euros).

Business is up in all geographic zones (still on a comparable basis), with +11.6% in Europe, +10.4% in North America, +6.6% in North Asia, +22% in the SAPMENA-SSA zone ( South Asia, Pacific, Middle East, North Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa) and finally +18.6% in Latin America.

In this context, L’Oréal highlights the strong improvement in its operating margin, at 19.5% (+40 bp), with an operating profit of 7,457 ME.

Net EPS stands at 11.26 euros, up 27.6%.

Finally, the firm indicates that its Board of Directors has decided to propose to the General Meeting of Shareholders of April 21, 2023, a dividend of 6.00 euros, an increase of +25%.
