Monday, May 9, a 38-year-old man was sentenced to six months in prison by the Agen Criminal Court after having disseminated intimate photos, of a sexual nature, of his ex-partner after their separation.
After twenty years of cohabitation, it was the woman who brought the couple to justice last January following the actions of her ex-companion. This mother, described as “nervous”, who “cries every night” and “goes to work with a lump in her stomach”, could no longer share anything with a man “capable of anything” when he is jealous. She has since rebuilt her life.
This rupture was difficult to accept by this father of two children of Portuguese nationality. However, the perpetrator denies any malicious dissemination of intimate photos of his ex-wife.
“I was sorting through the photos. Wanting to delete them, I shared them on two Facebook groups. But immediately erased, ”he said, relayed by Sud-Ouest.
However, the magistrates of the Agen Criminal Court reminded the defendant of the text messages threatening to disseminate intimate photos more widely if his ex-companion continues his relationship with his current lover, the messages explaining “the sexual practices” of the mother of the family. to his friend and blackmail him on the date. “The photos I sent are all public. They had been taken for swinger sites that we frequented, we went elsewhere in these evenings, ”he defended himself.
A woman “in a depressed state”
According to several witnesses, and after being placed under judicial supervision last month, the father of the family would have continued his threats against his ex-partner. “I’m not afraid of going to jail. I have copies of the photos on three USB sticks given to friends. I have eyes and ears everywhere”, he would have said.
“This distribution of images already existed, some nude photos taken by Madame, others by Monsieur, it was not new. Today, they no longer exist, the story of the USB key was provocation, ”assured Me Marie Duluc for the defense.
For her part, the woman’s lawyer, Me Charlotte De Bastos, affirms that “these photos are the strings of the puppet in her hands. And the puppet is Madame”.
After the photos were posted on social networks, the young woman entered a state of depression and reaction to anxiety, according to a medical diagnosis.
“She feels like she’s naked all the time. In the street, at his place of work, even at the children’s school. When we look at her, she wonders: “Is it because we saw the photos?” Today, his life is hell,” said his lawyer.
Given the threats to his ex-partner and the violence suffered by the eldest son from his father, the 30-year-old will have to compensate the two victims up to 4,000 euros for their moral damage.
