Lucid Motors, the Californian electric car start-up, makes its announcements concrete: on May 13, 2022, the manufacturer will open its first establishment in Europe with the Lucid Studio on Odeonsplatz in Munich.
In Germany, the Netherlands, Norway and Switzerland, the Lucid Air will initially be launched in two versions, the Air Dream Edition Performance and the Air Dream Edition Range. The Dream Edition Performance displays a power of 1111 hp with a torque of 1390 Nm and a range of 750 km. The Range, for its part, is a little less powerful with 933 hp, identical torque and a range of more than 830 km.
As the opening of its first showroom, Lucid Studio, approaches on May 13 at Odeonsplatz in Munich, reservations for these two models are already closed. Nevertheless, the first customers will be able to have a first physical contact with this electric sedan with disproportionate performance.
Prices for both versions will be identical at €218,000. Later in the year, the manufacturer will formalize the selling prices of the call versions, in particular the Lucid Air Pure which should start around 100,000 €.
Lucid Motors plans to open additional studios and service centers in Germany, the Netherlands, Norway and Switzerland in 2022. In future years, it is expected to add “other key markets across the European continent“. At the moment, out of 25,000 orders, 400 cars have been produced and 300 delivered in the United States. The challenges in terms of logistics and supply chain are high. We look forward to seeing if this new manufacturer will manage to overshadow Tesla.
