While the front hood, cabin and cover plate are finished in high-gloss black or glazed, the side section and tubular construction are painted in a sand-colored shade. It refers to the classic Mercedes color, Colorado beige, which was particularly popular in the 1970s. The fender flares are screwed on, a massive underrun protection front and rear should protect the underbody and batteries from damage on difficult terrain. The sand-colored Maybach study, which incidentally – unlike the current Mercedes-Maybach models – does not have a Mercedes star, stands on 17-inch steel wheels and large-tread off-road tires from the BF Goodrich Mud-Terrain T / A model.
