Like every year, CES in Las Vegas takes on the appearance of a television show. After Sony, Samsung or LG, it is the turn of the Japanese manufacturer Panasonic to unveil its new high-end television for the year 2022, the Panasonic LZ2000.

This new television logically replaces the previous flagship of the manufacturer, the Panasonic HZ2000, of which it incorporates the main characteristics. We are therefore dealing here with a television equipped with a 4K Oled panel with all the features expected to enjoy both a beautiful cinema image, but also an optimized gaming experience.

Concretely, the Panasonic LZ2000 is equipped with the latest image processor to date from Panasonic, the HCX Pro AI, which was already fitted to the manufacturer’s Panasonic televisions last year. What allow, according to the Japanese firm, an optimized processing of both HDR, upscaling and color processing.

Panasonic announces in particular a much brighter image – without however giving a peak in brightness thanks to its Master Oled Pro panel. Enough to allow, on paper, better management of the various onboard HDR codecs, whether HDR 10+, HLG Photo or Dolby Vision.

Speaking of standards, the Panasonic LZ2000 is also compatible with Filmmaker Mode and Dolby Vision IQ. As a reminder, this standard managed by Dolby will make it possible to automatically adapt the brightness of the screen and the temperature of the colors displayed to those of the room.

An audio configuration from Technics

The players have not been forgotten since Panasonic is embarking a new feature called Game Board Control. This will allow you to display a game control board overlaid on the image to display data from the game, improve visibility for dark scenes or manage the input lag and VRR parameters. The Panasonic LZ2000 does indeed have HDMI 2.1 sockets and offers 120Hz refresh for 4K games.

Regarding audio, Panasonic has worked with one of its subsidiaries, Technics, to provide 36-degree immersion. We will therefore find six speakers embedded in the television, for a total power of 160 W: a front speaker, two side speakers, a woofer and two speakers directed upwards for Dolby Atmos compatibility.

The Panasonic LZ2000 television will be offered in three screen diagonals: 55, 65 and 77 inches. For now, Panasonic has not communicated on the price and the date of availability of its television in France.
