Magnitude 2.1 – The earth briefly shook in the Styrian Murtal

On Friday evening there was a slight earthquake in Styria near Leoben. Some felt it, but no one was hurt.

It was a brief shock for the Styrians in the Murtal, but the all-clear was soon given again. A rumbling of the ground could be felt – a slight earthquake, as is not uncommon in this area.Epicenter west of LeobenAround half past seven, a magnitude of 2.1 on the Richter scale was recorded by the Geosphere Austria measuring stations. The epicenter was west of Leoben. Damage to buildings is not known and is not to be expected given such intensity.
