Magnitude 2.4 – Light earthquake in Upper Styria on Tuesday

Rumbling and rumbling in Upper Styria: A slight earthquake was reported in the Bruck an der Mur area on Tuesday evening. So far there has been no damage, the earthquake service is asking for feedback.

8:14 p.m., in the Bruck an der Mur area, there is rumbling and rumbling. Shortly thereafter, the Central Institute for Meteorology and Geodynamics (Zamg) reported: Light earthquake with a magnitude of 2.4. No damage reported so far. The earthquake is said to have been noticed in isolated cases. In social media, however, people in the area around the epicenter usually report not having noticed anything (see Facebook post above). So far there is said to be no damage – according to the current status on Wednesday morning. The Zamg earthquake service is asking the population for feedback on the possible effects of the earthquake.
