A 28-year-old soldier from the Fontevraud camp (Maine-et-Loire) was found dead in her home, stabbed several times and the alleged perpetrator was arrested in the middle of the day, said Saturday to the ‘AFP the prosecutor of Saumur, evoking the track of a feminicide.
The body of the young woman was found on Saturday, early in the morning, in Bellevigne-les-Châteaux, near Saumur, on the landing of a small building, in the common areas.
“The alleged perpetrator has been arrested, the trail of a feminicide is privileged”, declared shortly before noon the prosecutor of the Republic of Saumur, Alexandra Verron, without giving more details on the profile of the suspect. The body of the young woman presented multiple wounds with the knife, she had specified earlier in the morning.
“The victim lived in a rental residence whose residents followed one another regularly. I did not know her precisely,” said the mayor of this town of more than 3,400 inhabitants, Armel Froger, who went there around 6:30 am.
