“The team has to dig up the ground completely, centimeter by centimeter, otherwise there will be no peace in Wildalpen. We hope that the announced wind will not blow as strong as forecast,” says Bernd Fladischer, head of flight services. Overall, it can be assumed that around 100 hectares of forest area were damaged by the fire; five hectares are currently acutely affected.
