Manche: the bones found on a beach are those of a fisherman who disappeared 9 months ago


Human bones found on a beach in the English Channel in early December have just been identified. They belong to a 32-year-old Saint-Malo fisherman who disappeared at sea on April 29, 2021.

On December 4, a boot, a tibia and a fibula were found on Jullouville beach.

Taken by the gendarmerie, these human bones had been sent for analysis in order to identify the victim.

According to the DNA, they would belong to Cédric P. This 32-year-old fisherman had been missing since Thursday April 29, 2021.

According to Ouest France, the man had fallen into the water off the Minquiers archipelago, between Saint-Malo and the islands of Chausey and Jersey, while he was on the Mascaret III, a caseyeur from Saint- Bad.

An investigation has been opened to determine the exact circumstances of his disappearance.
