Shortly before her 60th birthday, Marcia Cross attended a fashion show in Berlin and talked about a “Desperate Housewives” comeback.

It’s not just the fans who want a “Desperate Housewives” comeback. “I think each of us would be there,” said US actress Marcia Cross (59) on the sidelines of Marc Cain’s “Express Yourself” fashion show in Berlin. “Marc Cherry, who had the idea for the series, thought at the time that the story had been told. So he had to be convinced.” The 59-year-old played Bree Van de Kamp in the series from 2004 to 2012. Together with her colleagues Teri Hatcher (57), Felicity Huffman (59) and Eva Longoria (47), she celebrated great success with the TV show.

Marcia Cross wants to celebrate her birthday for a year

In a few days, the actress has a milestone birthday. Cross turns 60 on March 25 – and the former series star wants to celebrate it properly. “I’ve decided to celebrate this birthday for a whole year – the 60th is worth it. I’m going to take a spring break trip to Costa Rica, which is also my birthday trip. I’ve never been there. Actually I’m not a sunbather, but I’m really looking forward to it.”

Cross was a guest star on the Marc Cain runway show. The actress shone there in a light blue pantsuit. The autumn/winter 2022 collections were presented under the motto “Express Yourself”. And what is Cross’s favorite way to express her personality? “Oh my god… it makes me think of my kids. I think a lot comes through them. And through love and my friendships,” says the 59-year-old, who, with husband Tom Mahoney, 64, is 15- year old twins.

Your fight against cancer

The TV star, who rose to fame in the ’90s with the series ‘Melrose Place’, is currently working on a documentary about HPV – “that’s my heart’s project,” she says. In 2018, the actress made public with an Instagram post that she had had anal cancer some time ago. A total of two weeks of chemotherapy and 28 radiation treatments followed. Cross is now considered cured. Now she uses her prominent status to educate about the disease.
