In Mexico, Margot Robbie has transformed into the legendary ‘Totally Hair’ Barbie from the ’90s – complete with crimped hair.

Hollywood star Margot Robbie (33) has once again turned into a Barbie. At a photo op in Mexico City for the launch of the new “Barbie” movie, the actress appeared in a look that the plastic Barbie actually wore in the 1990s.

Her outfit consisted of a short, colourful, but of course mostly pink dress, which attracted attention with its graphic pattern and contrasting skirt. In addition, Robbie wore pink heels, pink plastic earrings and a very special hairstyle: The actress had her long blonde hair crimped, as was the trend in the nineties.

But they weren’t quite as long as the original – the mane of the legendary “Totally Hair” Barbie from the 90s almost reached her heels. With the Barbie accessories, the players could also try their hand at hair styling.

Margot Robbie: One Barbie Original Look After Another

It’s not the first time the “Barbie” actress has recreated an iconic look for the doll. Just a day earlier, she wore a dress that was reminiscent of 1992’s “Earring Magic Barbie”: a tight-fitting, pink corsage dress with transparent arms and a belly chain. At the end of June, Robbie presented a pink and white polka dot mini dress by Valentino for a photocall in Los Angeles depicting the “Pink & Fabulous Barbie” look, and in Sydney a tribute to the original 1959 Barbie with a black and white striped one Bandage dress and cat-eye sunglasses.

The highlight of her stylish Barbie transformation is yet to come: On Sunday, “Barbie” by “Lady Bird” director Greta Gerwig (39) celebrates its world premiere at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.
