Married at first sight Belgium: are there any differences with the French version?

The Belgian version of the program Married at first sight has been broadcast since July 4th. Are there any differences with the French version? Télé Star tells you more.

Since September 2016, the show Married at first sight attracts viewers, eager to discover the future of the couples formed. Will their relationship last or will they break up? After the French version, the Belgian version has been offered to viewers every Monday evening since July 4th. The concept is the same: forming couples with unknown singles thanks to a “compatibility rate“. As Puremédias revealed, a total of 3,500 candidates applied to participate in the show and only five couples were formed and will meet for the first time on their wedding day. there is no difference with the French version, will this season meet with the same success? Alicia and Bruno, Pauline and Damien, Laurent and Séverine, Laurie and Joel, Nathalie and Michaël, Elodie and Julien then Morgane and Valérian. Which couple is still married? The answer in a few weeks.

The French version of the showMarried at first sight has been attracting viewers for several years. As reported by the site Anylatelethe last episode drew nearly 2.52 million French people, i.e. 13.8% audience share of the general public. To prolong the pleasure, the channel has extended the program until 00:09 and nearly 1.64 million followers have followed the results of this season. Nevertheless, the Belgian version did not meet with the same success. The first issue attracted only 1.16 million curious people or 8.2% of the public on average. A low figure that allows M6 to ask questions. As a reminder, this first season was broadcast following the French version. The television viewers would they have preferred a few months to pass before setting off on this new adventure ? It remains to be seen whether the third issue, broadcast this Monday, July 11, will attract more curious people and followers of the show.

Married at first sight: why was the French version controversial?

If the broadcast Married at first sight attracts viewers, it also happens to be the victim of bad buzz. Following the broadcast of an episode, two candidates came out of the silence, ensuring that the editing of the show was misleading. The first is Sandy, who had been accused of having spoken badly to Alexandre when he had indicated that he wanted to do the dishes. The young woman had put things in context. There was also Jennifer who had assured that only the disputes within her couple had been put forward. “To people’s eyes, it’s a bit of a shame. For me, our compatibility was not highlighted“, she lamented. Will the Belgian version be the victim of the same reproaches?
