What is this Marshall speaker?

As usual, Marshall excels in the design of these products and offers a very beautiful object with its Acton III. The vintage look of the speaker and its shape refer to the brand’s baffles and amps, while the leatherette covering and the front grille give the Acton III a strong identity. Its dimensions of 350 × 203 × 188 mm for a weight of 2.85 kg make it an certainly imposing object, but which is not designed to move. It does not have a battery, and must be plugged into a wall outlet to work.

The Acton III has a control panel to manage volume, track playback, or adjust bass and treble. The buttons are perfectly integrated and are unlikely to break, although gentle handling is recommended. The speaker can also be controlled via Bluetooth 5.2 via your smartphone or tablet. Note that a 3.5 mm mini-jack input is present, to connect headphones.

Is this Marshall speaker worth it with this offer?

If you need a good speaker for your home, and headphones at the same time, then this offer is of course worth it. When it comes to audio, Marshall products are not particularly the best on the market, but they are undeniably classy. Audio level, stereo sound is provided by a 30 W amplifier for the woofers and two 15 W amplifiers for the tweeters. The sound is therefore powerful, with well-balanced bass, midrange and treble. Everything sounds right and the Acton III does a good job of immersion. An equalizer is available in the Marshall application, to fine-tune and harmonize everything to your taste.

As for the Major IV helmet, the same observation. Marshall’s design hits the mark and the headset is beautiful and comfortable. The whole thing is, however, more fragile than a classic helmet. Among the strong points, the autonomy of 80 hours is enormous and should satisfy those who do not wish to go through the recharge box every day. As for the weak points, the audio is not free from defects, starting with bass and treble that are sometimes off, or an overall unbalanced sound reproduction.
