Marvel: bad news for the Hawkeye spin-off

The new series from Marvel Studios “Echo”, derived from “Hawkeye”, will not be released next summer on the Disney+ platform, but probably at the end of 2023.

Bad news for fans of the Marvel Universe. Originally expected for next summer on Disney+, the Echo series will be postponed, with a new release date likely scheduled for the end of 2023.

Derived from the Hawkeye series, Echo follows the adventures of young superheroine Maya Lopez, played by deaf-mute actress Alaqua Cox. As we discovered when she was introduced to the MCU, this character has strong ties to the Kingpin, Daredevil’s nemesis, who served as her mentor and surrogate father.

Podcast guest The Writers Panel (via ComingSoon.net), showrunner Marion Dayre has confirmed that the series will not be released next summer as originally planned, without specifying the reasons for this postponement. Filming was completed several weeks ago, so it would hardly be surprising to see reshoots organized over the next few months…

Among the other Marvel productions expected next year on Disney+: Secret Invasion with Emilia Clarke and Samuel L. Jackson, Agatha – Coven of Chaos (the WandaVision spin-off), Ironheart (seen at the end of Black Panther 2), and of course Daredevil: Born Again with Charlie Cox, the highly anticipated sequel to the Netflix series!
