2024 - Marvel postpones several of its Disney + series to 2024

New upheaval within the MCU: Marvel Studios has just announced the postponement of several of its future series expected on the Disney+ streaming platform. In the lot, the series Echo is postponed for two months, and Agatha: Coven of Chaos is delayed by almost a year.

The MCU shifted by a year

The ongoing writers’ and actors’ strike in Hollywood continues to cause a stir. In addition to the thwarted filming of Daredevil: Born Again And iron heartMarvel Studios must also review its plans for the distribution of its next original productions, as it cannot promote them.

Thus, the series Echo — spin-off from Hawkeye centered on the hard of hearing heroine – sees its release postponed from November 29, 2023 to January 2024. Rare thing for Disney +, all the episodes of this mini-series will be released at the same time, recalling the format “binge” from Netflix.

In the same spirit, the series X-Men ’97based on the 90s animated program, is being pushed back from fall 2023 to early 2024.

But the main victim of this upheaval in the calendar is the series Agatha: Coven of Chaosa spin-off from Wanda Vision. Initially scheduled for winter 2023, it has just been postponed to the end of 2024, probably around Halloween.

The series worn by Kathryn Hahn is also renamed at the same time, and is now called Agatha: Darkhold Diaries. Remember that it was originally called Agatha: House of Harknessbefore taking the title of Coven of Chaos Last year. A reassuring waltz of names.

The only good news from this announcement: season 2 of the animated series What If…?, originally scheduled for early 2023 and long in limbo, has finally gotten a release date. It will finally air on Disney+ in December 2023.

The next appointments of the MCU will be on October 6 on Disney +, with the release of Loki season 2, then on November 8, 2023 with the arrival at the cinema of the film The Marvels.
