Even with a negative test, Heinz believes that unvaccinated people should not go on vacation. “Freedom doesn’t protect you. For example, if you go to an island with a negative PCR test, you can very well get infected there, go home again and carry the virus.”
“Anyone who gives freedom to the unvaccinated is wasting the chance to reach everyone with the vaccination,” said Heinz. You have to make it clear to people: “Without vaccination there is no freedom. Without this pressure, we will not convince people.” Unvaccinated people are a danger to society and should therefore not be given the same freedoms as vaccinated people.
AfD criticizes “totalitarian thinking”
Heinz considers vaccination premiums to be “absurd”. However, he rejects compulsory vaccination as “paternalism”. Giving freedom only to vaccinated people is not a hidden obligation to vaccinate, “but an inevitable conclusion from a pandemic situation”.
AfD parliamentary group leader Weidel reacted angrily to the statements of the KV chairman. “This is totalitarian language and totalitarian thinking that has no place in a rational and constitutional discourse on how to deal with the corona virus,” said Weidel, according to a statement from the parliamentary group. The federal government and the federal states must make it unmistakably clear once and for all that compulsory vaccination and mandatory vaccination are out of the question, neither directly nor indirectly through the selective withdrawal of rights and freedoms, she demanded. “Fundamental rights are not assigned from above; they must apply in full to all citizens.”
