The star wows the crowds on his 54th birthday

Matthew McConaughey rocked a football game on his 54th birthday – and enthralled the crowds in his home state of Texas.
Matthew McConaughey: “Can you deliver badass pressure?”
First, McConaughey appeared at lunchtime on a preview program that was also broadcast on US television. Here the Hollywood star was given a bottle of tequila, which he immediately took out with the words “It’s not too early to start drinking, is it?” took a sip, as seen in a video shared on X.
This was followed by the star’s aforementioned rousing motivational speech. The Longhorns players fired McConaughey before the game against Kansas State with the following words: “Can you deliver some serious pressure? Let them know from the start: You came to the wrong back yard today. Go back to Kansas.”
After his speech, the crowd in attendance sang a moving birthday serenade to the smiling Hollywood star, who appeared in a traditional cowboy hat.

Much to McConaughey’s delight, his team then prevailed in a real thriller: The Texas Longhorns defeated Kansas State 33:30 after overtime and, thanks to the victory, are still in the Big 12 Conference playoff race. McConaughey then celebrated the home team’s triumph on the field at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium.
Another one Video to be seen on X shows the star hitting his chest with his fist along with the team’s players. McConaughey was alluding to an iconic scene from Martin Scorsese’s (80) modern film classic “The Wolf of Wall Street”, in which he also hits himself in the chest with his hand. It must have been a completely successful 54th birthday for the Hollywood star.
