A month after his disappearance, photos and tributes still haunt the Twitter accounts of his subscribers. On December 22, youtuber Maëva Frossard, better known as Mava Chou, committed suicide at the age of 32. After the opening of an investigation for “moral harassment leading to suicide”, subscribers and loved ones came back, to Release, on the long years of online harassment suffered by the young mother. A hatred which, they insisted, was particularly exacerbated by the acrimonious videos published by her ex-husband. This Friday, according to the Parisian, the youtubeur Jeremstar, friend of the deceased, would have been heard as a witness as part of the investigation. This reality TV interviewer reportedly gave the authorities all of the conversations he had with the influencer in the months leading up to her death.
It would be hundreds of written messages, about fifty audios and screenshots in which the youtuber would heavily incriminate her ex-husband, also a youtuber. Some of the information given to investigators on Friday was revealed in a video posted on Jeremstar’s YouTube channel on January 17. For nearly an hour, he interviews Romain, Mava Chou’s companion before his death, and intersperses everything with voice notes sent by the young woman. According to the Parisianit is the publication of this video in which the influencer claims to stand “at the disposal of justice” which prompted his hearing.
In these excerpts, we first hear Maëva Frossard discouraged: “I think you too must have said to yourself more than once: ‘Come on, shit, I’m closing everything, and then sayonara!'” she laughs with a lump in her throat. She also describes her online harassment that pursued her in reality: “They take pictures of me on the street, they take pictures of me in front of my house, they take pictures of cars similar to mine saying, ‘Look how she parked, like the queen of bitches’, while it’s not even me!”

At that time, a rumor accusing Maëva and her relatives of sexual touching of children began to gain momentum on the Internet. All the subscribers consulted told us that it came from Adrien himself. In the audios, Mava Chou seems to confirm: “There has never been a trace or a blow or even a spanking in my home, she gasps. He’s just trying to get custody, really. And he talked about sexual touching in the public square, I find it disgusting vis-à-vis my children.

Indeed, at that time, Adrien publishes a video in which he evokes events that will “need follow-up over several years” for the children and explains that he went to a police station. He also “likes” comments accusing Mava Chou of being “incestuous” and “mistreating”. “He did not deny it and he fueled the false rumor”, the influencer is indignant. The case even ended up involving the gendarmes who, as Romain maintains during his interview with Jeremstar, would have seized the couple’s computers to analyze them.
Other information reported by Release and that Mava Chou evokes: the mysterious anonymous private account on Twitter, flooding her with insults. On it scrolled messages such as: “When I see his face, I avoid looking at it, it gives me smacks”, “tomorrow I’m going to kick the balls at M”… With Jeremstar, the youtuber explodes: “He’s tweeted more than a thousand since July only to spit on me. On me, my spouse, friends we had in common who are now with me. And only hatred, disclosure of private conversations…” In addition, he would also, according to her, “makes a sexual biography of [sa] life since [sa] birth”. Speaking of “persecution”, the influencer does not go there by four paths: “It’s harassment, it’s an obsession with me, it’s awful.”
One of the last waves of hatred received by the young mother would come, according to Romain, from her participation in the show Seven to eight. The program was precisely to address the harassment suffered by the youtuber. Logically, the journalist would then have contacted Adrien – then implicated – to obtain his version of the facts. His reaction ? “Live [sur Twitch]he threatened me […] compared to the show Seven to eight. Contacted by Release, Adrien has not yet responded to our interview request. On January 6, he announced in a YouTube video to resume his online activity (live, vlogs, etc.) and again claimed to be targeted by a wave of cyberbullying. Since then, he has published several videos a day on his channel and continues to discuss the conflicts that pitted him against Mava Chou.
