During this year’s Summer Olympics, Max Kruse proposed to his partner on television. Now the Union Berlin professional footballer and Dilara Mardine have married.

Max Kruse, 33, and his great love Dilara Mardine have tied the knot. The Bundesliga professional from Union Berlin announces the great news somewhat hidden with a wedding picture in his Instagram story.

When Max Kruse asked for his partner’s hand, it happened in front of an audience of millions. In the summer of this year, the athlete stood on the pitch for the German national soccer team at the Olympic Games in Tokyo. In a conversation with a reporter after the second group game at the end of July, it happened: Kruse got on his knees and proposed to his Dilara in front of the cameras.

The big day, on the other hand, was less spectacular and closed to the public. The striker only shares one recording of the wedding in his Instagram story. It shows: Max, wearing a blue suit, white shirt and black tie.

Dilara has opted for a white dress with lace inserts on the sides that reveal some skin. Your bridal bouquet consists mostly of white roses. The footballer writes: “Just Married”. When and where exactly the wedding took place is currently not known.

Kruse’s newly wed bride grants more wedding insights. In their Instagram stories, the bride and groom can be seen leaving the church, while numerous people on site cheer and fire confetti in their direction. Then Max and Dilara kiss in front of the crowd. How nice!
