(Boursier.com) — MBWS announces revenue as of June 30, 2022 of €86.4 million, up 5.9% compared to 2021, with a level of performance that has been maintained in France over the first half of 2022, despite an overall slowdown in the market spirits (sales growth of +2.5% compared to
2021, but +1% in the 2nd quarter) driven in particular by:
– a strong improvement in On-Trade activity linked to a first half of 2021 penalized by the closure of bars and restaurants following the Covid measures;
– a relative gain in market share for William Peel in a declining market for Blends less than 12 years old;
– and marked growth of the other brands in the portfolio, and in particular of Marie Brizard, both on the On-Trade and Off-Trade markets.
-A confirmed increase in international sales (+9.2% compared to the 1st half of 2021) reflecting contrasting developments depending on the region:

– a drop in sales of Sobieski vodka in the United States in a highly competitive category.
