The environmental candidate for the presidential election unveiled the main measures of his program on Saturday in Lyon. A way for Yannick Jadot to focus attention on him. On the program: recruitment of civil servants, increase in the minimum wage or closure of nuclear reactors.
“They did nothing! The left, the right and today the French and the French are paying the consequences”, proclaimed loud and clear Yannick Jadot Saturday in Lyon. The environmentalist candidate tried to focus attention on the main measures of his political program while at the same time, 467,000 citizens, registered in the popular Primary, voted to designate their leftist candidate. The result will be known on Sunday evening.
A slogan: “Let’s change”
Yannick Jadot’s political vision is unequivocal: there needs to be a clean break with former governments, which he directly accuses of having sacrificed future generations. “When did our democracies abdicate before the billions?” he wondered. “In particular those of finance, oil and chemistry, to the point of compromising our future”, he continues. For the environmental candidate, only one alternative: his campaign slogan “Let’s change”. “It’s not just a slogan, it’s an alert,” he says on stage.
A nod to the socialist campaign of François Hollande. Its objective is therefore clear to seduce the voters of the socialist party and for this, it also threatens finance. “If you have shares in Total, now is the time to get rid of them because in a few months, it will be hot for Total,” he warns.
A mixture of ecology and social justice, exactly like the project of the popular Primary, but also a means of asserting oneself as the ideal candidate, a few hours before the end of the vote.
