Just like a classic balayage – only better? Just like a natural blonde – just a little prettier? Melted balayage à la Jennifer Aniston is the answer. Everyone wants to have this trend hair color right now.

Freshen up the hair color? With a nice gradient? The photo of a perfectly flowing balayage is probably one of the most common inspirational images that hairdressers get held under their noses. This includes a wide variety of techniques: blonde balayage, 3D balayage, micro balayage and now a brand new addition: melted balayage with a caramel touch. Stars and starlets are already wearing the hair color on the red carpets. We show why this new technology is an absolute eye-catcher.

New season, new hair, new me!

Icy platinum blondes were yesterday. The style of the melted balayage consists of gorgeous, layered blonde highlights on a brunette base. The trendy face-framing highlights should of course not be missing in this look. This creates a warm picture and we counteract the moodiness that comes with the dark season.

The melted balayage is currently doing its big rounds in the hairdressing salons. Jennifer Aniston and all the influencers are also leading the way. But this balayage technique is not just one of many. It stands out clearly from its predecessors and proves that hair changes do not have to mean a complete change in type. Because here only paintings are done in the hair. The strands that are barely noticeable create a subtle new look without changing the hair too much. The fact that the approach is often not completely colored with this technique gives the look a natural, unwanted touch and at the same time does not damage the hair as much as with a conventional balayage.

This new color technique is intended to create flowing, soft transitions and a harmonious combination of all colors in the hair. To create this effect, a wide variety of blonde and brown nuances are combined with one another. The combination of warm colors and cooler tones makes the hair look fuller and more voluminous.

Balayage or melted balayage?

But what is the exact difference? Why are we now using the “melted” dyeing technique? The big difference here lies in the different color nuances. With the conventional technique of balayage, almost only blonde tones get into the hair, while the new hair trend uses light and dark nuances in a targeted manner. This creates several layers of hair optically. These have a complex and lively effect. The new balayage look gives the impression that different shades of color are all melting together in our hair. And let’s be completely honest, who of us doesn’t want hair to melt away ?!
