Cloud9 has formalized its LCS roster and that of its academy in a video, with few changes for 2023.

Cloud9 has already completed its recruitment. Just a few days after the start of the League of Legends transfer window, the club unveiled in a video its new rosters for the 2023 season, in LCS and Challenger. On the side of the first team in the NA championship, only one new name makes an appearance, that of Dimitri “Diplex“Ponomarev. The German midlaner arrives from Vitality.bee (who had released almost his entire team). The young 19-year-old player thus discovers a new championship and will take the place of jensenthe only departure from the workforce.

On the coaching staff side, the Spaniard Mithy was announced on the departure following the end of his contract. Eventually, he re-signed for a new season. Max Waldo, who had taken over the interim and was to take over the reins of the team, is switched over as Positional coach. The team will therefore be largely similar to the Summer Split 2022 with Fudge, Blaber, Berserker and Zven in the rest of the starting five. Logically, the structure considers that its roster is ideal after a victory in the summer playoffs (but an elimination with 1 game won at the Worlds…)

Note that on the side of C9 Academy in NA Challengers League 2023, the changes are more numerous. FakeGod, Tomio, EMENES and Lost join toplaner Darshan and jungler Sheiden. The support Zeyzei leaves the main roster to join the academy. Finally the head coach Tails is him promoted coach of the LCS team, he exchanges his place with Income.
