After seven years and 15 episodes: Meret Becker stops at Berlin’s “Tatort”. In her last case, she comes up against the Mafia.

The last flap has fallen: Meret Becker (52) has just finished filming her last “crime scene”. Your final case as Berlin chief detective Nina Rubin is to be broadcast in the spring of 2022 in the first.

“Tatort: The girl who goes home alone”: This is what Meret Becker’s last case is about

In her last case, entitled “Tatort: The Girl Who Goes Home Alone”, Becker, alias Rubin, has to deal with the Russian Mafia in Berlin. After the body of a man is recovered from the Spree, the young Julie Bolshakow (Bella Dayne) seeks the investigator’s proximity. The dead person had revealed to her that her husband is a big deal with the Mafia. Julie asks for police protection. In order not to endanger Julie, Rubin has to keep her partner Karow (Mark Waschke, 49) out of the investigation. Another challenge for the already fragile relationship of trust between the two investigators.

Corinna Harfouch is her successor

“Tatort: The girl who goes home alone” is the 15th case of Rubin and Karow, who started their service in Berlin in 2015. In May 2019, Meret Becker announced that she was leaving the series. She wants to dedicate herself to new artistic challenges again – although she associates seven good years with the “Tatort”. “Still, I was and still am a stray, and it’s time to quench my curiosity and try new things,” she said the actress back then in a statement.

Becker will especially miss her colleague Mark Waschke. Unlike Rubin and Karow, the two actors apparently had a good relationship. “There were countless wonderful moments with all the colleagues I was able to meet, especially my colleague Mark Waschke, whom I would now call a friend,” she said.

Waschke remains at the Berlin “crime scene”. Meret Becker’s successor is acting star Corinna Harfouch (67).
