(Boursier.com) — Mersen announces several changes within its Board of Directors following the annual general meeting of May 19. Ms. Isabelle Azemard, director appointed on the proposal of Bpifrance Investissement, whose mandate expires at the end of the annual general meeting of May 19, will not be renewed given the statutory age limits. The general meeting will be required to decide on the appointment of Bpifrance Participations as a new director. If the resolution is approved, Bpifrance Participations will appoint Mr. Emmanuel Blot as permanent representative. The Board of Directors, like Bpifrance, attaches great importance to the diversity of skills and believes that Mr. Emmanuel Blot will bring to the Board his financial expertise and his very good knowledge of the Mersen group, which he has followed for more than 10 years.

If the shareholders approve this appointment, the Board will still have 8 members (excluding the director representing the employees, in accordance with the Afep-Medef Code), 5 of whom are independent. It will be made up of 3 women and 5 men, in line with the Copé-Zimmermann law which provides, for boards with a maximum of 8 directors (excluding salaried directors), that the gender representation gap must not be greater than 2. .
