Michael Wendler, 47, and Laura Müller, 19, can breathe a sigh of relief. Not only is the divorce of the pop star finally over, ex-wife Claudia Norberg, 49, is said to have moved out of the shared house in Florida at the weekend. The Wendler and his fiancee are said to have lived under one roof with her and their daughter for a while.
Michael Wendler: "It was difficult for Laura"
Michael Wendler and his Laura are therefore turbulent times. Ex Claudia is said to have even threatened not to go through with the divorce after a first meeting with her successor. "It was very difficult for Laura because my ex decided after she met Laura that she didn't want to divorce anymore – just to get in our way," the singer now reports in the RTL interview. Laura is also outraged by the reaction of the 49-year-old. "She told me that she didn't want to get divorced from Micha and that's what she said to me three times," recalls the "Let's Dance" participant. "As a new girlfriend you stand there and think what's going on?"
Claudia Norberg lives just a few streets away
The 19-year-old stayed in Cologne for three months to record the RTL dance show. During this time Claudia Norberg was allowed to continue living in the Florida house. After the final last Friday, May 22, 2020, the Wendler-Ex finally had to move out. "We hope not to find the house empty or burned down when we come back," jokes Michael Wendler.
Claudia is said to have moved into an apartment just a few streets away, as daughter Adeline, 18, will continue to live with her father. According to Wendler, she will at least not be bad financially. "She gets her severance pay. If she's smart, she won't have to work for the rest of her life," he says. His ex seems to see it differently. In a statement to RTL, she wrote: "Michael seems to have forgotten that I have to deal with bankruptcy. I would be very grateful to Michael if he would pay all of the millions of debts that were incurred during our marriage." So there still seems to be a need for clarification between the ex-spouses.
At least nothing stands in the way of a wedding with his Laura.
