Michael Wendler: Does that seal the end of his career?

Michael Wendler's manager Markus Krampe is certain: With his Corona statements, the musician sealed the end of his own career.

First Michael Wendler (48) made a name for himself as a singer, then he conquered TV with Laura Müller (20) at his side. But now – after his exit from "Germany is looking for the superstar" and his comments about the corona pandemic – the tide seems to be turning. Can the 48-year-old still save his career? Manager Markus Krampe (44) doubts it.

"I find it very difficult to imagine that anything will happen again in the near future," said Krampe in the RTL special edition of "Pocher – dangerously honest!" on Thursday evening (October 8th). Of course, one should never say never, stressed the Wendler manager, but he still believes that the artist will not recover from this blow.

Partners terminate the contracts

The jury job at "DSDS" and other advertising contracts such as the one for Kaufland looked rosy. "He and Laura are a duo that works for large, well-known companies," explained Krampe. In his opinion, the singer couldn't just have been debt free by the end of this year. "I think if he had continued working until the end of next year, with 'DSDS' and so on, he would never have had to worry again."

Not only he now wants to distance himself from Wendler in business. After his views became known, Krampe had "15 lawyers on the line nationwide" in a very short time. They all wanted to terminate the existing contracts with the artist with immediate effect.
