Michael Wendler's mother Christine Tiggemann died at the age of 73. Her ex-husband and father of the pop star confirmed that.
Christine Tiggemann, the mother of pop singer Michael Wendler (48), died at the age of 73. Manfred Weßels, her ex-husband and father of Michael Wendler, confirmed this to the "Bild" newspaper. According to Weßels, his ex-wife died after a heart attack in her apartment in Dinslaken.
The couple were married from 1969 to 2005. In addition to their son Michael, the marriage also produced a daughter. "We have spent half of our lives together," Weßels explains in the "Bild" interview. They spoke on the phone for the last time in November. Tiggemann had little contact with his son Michael in recent years. She learned from the media about the civil wedding of her son with Laura Müller (20) in June 2020, she said a few days after the wedding in an interview with RTL.
Michael Wendler has already commented on the death of his mother on the Telegram news service: "Unfortunately we had no contact in the last few months due to differences of opinion.
