For five years, Michelle Hunziker’s life was ruled by a sect. She became estranged from her mother. How bad it was for Ineke Hunziker, she tells in her daughter’s TV show.

“[Michelle] called me in the morning and said, ‘Mom, I have to take a different path in life, there is no more room for you. I have to go on alone, please don’t call me and don’t look for me anymore,” recalls Ineke Hunziker, the mother of Michelle Hunziker, 45, on “Michelle Impossible”. There are words that get under your skin, about you Time that almost cost the mother-daughter duo their relationship with each other forever.

Michelle Hunziker: Mother Ineke reports on a TV show about terrible cult times

Actually, Michelle Hunziker’s new TV show, with which the presenter fulfilled a dream, is amusing. Fans have already enjoyed a sweet stage comeback with her ex Eros Ramazzotti, 58, and daughter Aurora Ramazzotti, 25, even leaked a breast surgery secret about her mother. In the second issue of February 23, 2022, however, there was an emotional climax that gave an insight into Michelle’s probably darkest time – and moved her to tears herself.

Mother Ineke was a guest and remembers the years 2002 to 2006 when her daughter Michelle was in the clutches of the “Warriors of Light” sect. The Swiss-Italian television presenter, who was in her early 20s at the time, was increasingly letting her life be dictated to by the cult leader “Clelia”, whose real name is Giulia Berghella. Among other things, she forced Michelle to live vegan and no longer have sex, the 45-year-old described in her 2018 autobiography “An Apparently Perfect Life”. Her marriage to Eros Ramazotti was destroyed, she lost a lot of money, her career was in jeopardy.

“I took tranquilizers and had to have a pacemaker fitted”

But what was it like for Ineke Hunziker, who had to watch her lose her daughter to a sect? After the former “Wetten, dass ..?!” presenter broke contact with her mother, Ineke continued to try to text her. “But I couldn’t do anything,” she told Michelle Impossible, according to the Italian daily Il Mattino. The reason: her daughter’s cell phone was confiscated. “I was desperate, then angry,” remembers Michelle’s mother, adding: “I wanted to punch that woman in the face who took her away from me, but Eros Ramazzotti stopped me. He said to me, ‘I don’t want to come to jail to bring you oranges and sing you a song on the guitar'”.

At first, Ineke couldn’t accept no longer having contact with her daughter: At the beginning “I felt very bad, I couldn’t sleep, I took sedatives. I had to have a pacemaker installed. I was at home for a year, could don’t drive and don’t work. It was hard.” Michelle even wanted to forbid her contact with granddaughter Aurora.

Michelle bursts into tears at her mother’s words

It took Hunziker five years to realize that cult leader “Clelia” was leading her further and further into isolation. But she managed to escape the cult. About her daughter’s return, Ineke says on “Michelle Impossible”: “In the morning I got a call: ‘Mom, can I come to your place for breakfast?’ It was beautiful She arrived and my heart stopped We promised each other never again [über die Sekte] to speak.”

Her mother’s words do not go unnoticed by Michelle Hunziker – quite the opposite. During the show, the TV star burst into tears. “It was very difficult for me to listen to her because no one wants to listen to their mother’s pain,” explains Michelle, adding hopefully, “But we made it and we love each other very much.”
