Michelle Trachtenberg explains that there was a rule with "Buffy" that Joss Whedon shouldn't be alone with her.

Most recently, director and screenwriter Joss Whedon (56) was accused by several actresses of creating a "toxic work environment" on the set of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer". Michelle Trachtenberg (35, "Gossip Girl"), who starred in the role of Sarah Michelle Gellar's (43, Buffy) younger sister Dawn on the series, posted an update on Instagram about her previous allegations.

The last comment she wanted to make on the matter was that there was a rule on set "that said he couldn't be alone in a room with Michelle again." The actress does not explain why exactly this regulation should have existed. However, she had previously written that at 35 she was "brave enough" to comment on other allegations against Whedon. She spoke of "inappropriate behavior" on the part of the director and now the public also knows "what Joss did".

Charisma Carpenter and Sarah Michelle Gellar also spoke

Before Trachtenberg, her colleague Charisma Carpenter (50) had made extensive allegations against Whedon on Instagram. He said he had "abused his power several times while we worked together on the sets of 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' and 'Angel – Hunter of Darkness'". She is still suffering from the consequences of Whedon's "wrongdoing". The director created "toxic and hostile work environments". Among other things, when she was four months pregnant, he called her "fat" and asked her behind closed doors if she would "keep" the baby.

Gellar also spoke up via Instagram and said that she was proud that her name was associated with the character Buffy. However, she does not want to be associated with Whedon forever. During the corona pandemic, she wanted to focus on her family and not comment on the allegations. However, she supports people affected by abuse and is grateful that they speak out in public.
