Microsoft has just released an optional update for Windows 11 (KB5011563). This notably adds new priorities in the notification menu, as well as a host of various and varied bug fixes.
A novelty, however, is passed over in silence by Microsoft: the possibility of changing the default browser in one click. It is no longer necessary to associate one by one the types of files you want to open with a particular browser, a single button now does this for all files related to web browsing. To do this, open the menu Settings (Win+I) then go to Appschain to Default appsselect the browser of your choice from the list of applications and, finally, click on Define by default. Windows will then associate all the necessary extensions so that your favorite browser opens by default.
Microsoft therefore continues to listen to its users to improve Windows 11 over the updates. The publisher has given them an appointment on April 5 for an event dedicated to new ways of working.
