Might&Magicit’s an old way role-playing franchise dungeon crawler born in the 80s, who was entitled to a few spin-offs as Might & Magic: Clash of Heroesin 2009. An opus which mixed the mechanics of RPGadventure and jigsaw puzzle, originally released on Nintendo DS and then ported to computers, mobiles and home consoles of the time. Incidentally, the PC servers shut down last year.
But the nostalgic can rejoice, Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes will be back this summer in a Definitive Edition on PC, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. A title still edited by Ubisoftbut this time developed by Dotemuwhich will use the same mechanics as the original opus while including some new features, such as of the artworkscharacter portraits and new technical improvements. The multiplayer mode will thus be rebalanced with an exclusive boss, Euni the Archdruidwhile players will also be able to opt for a DLCs in order to control four bosses (Azexez, Count Carlyle, Ludmila And Azh Rafir) adventure. Another novelty, the game will be localized for the Asian market, enough to attract a few million potential new players. Cyrille Imbert, CEO and executive producer at Dotemucomments:
It’s a dream come true for me. Might and Magic: Clash of Heroes is one of my favorite games from that era. It’s a gem of game design. I spent so many nights with my friends looking for the best possible strategy, launching yet another “last duel” until daybreak. To have the opportunity to work on an update of this modern day classic, to give a new audience the opportunity to experience it, is simply amazing. We can’t wait to put the game in the hands of a whole new generation of fans.
