Mike Pence: Negative corona test for the Vice President

US President Donald Trump has tested positive for the corona virus. Its Vice President Mike Pence's test is negative.

Donald Trump (74) and his wife Melania (50) have tested positive for infection with the corona virus. The President and First Lady of the United States announced this themselves on Twitter. The spokesman for the vice president said that Mike Pence (61) and his wife Karen (63) were not infected.

As has been routine for months, pence is tested daily. The current test of the Vice President and his wife was now negative, as Devon O'Malley confirms on Twitter. The 61-year-old is in excellent health and wishes Trump a speedy recovery.

Joe Biden prays

Trump's challenger in the running for the presidency has also commented on the matter. While the US President had assumed his opponent Joe Biden (77) during the first TV debate to be apparently too cautious in dealing with the virus in his opinion, he did not respond to the previous statements. Biden said on Twitterthat he and his wife Jill (69) wish the Trumps a speedy recovery. They prayed "for the health and safety of the president and his family".

"Tonight the First Lady and I tested positive for Covid-19", Trump had previously announced. "We will begin our quarantine and recovery process immediately. We will get through this together."
