This tragic news shook the entertainment industry a few days ago: Star comedian Mirco Nontschew has died. He was only 52 years old. Now his manager and friend comment on the cause of death.
On December 5, 2021, Mirco Nontschew’s manager and close friend Bertram Riedel told “Bild”: “We confirm the death of our friend and family member. The family asks for consideration during this difficult time.”
When asked by GALA, a spokeswoman for the Berlin police said that on Friday, December 3, 2021, a 52-year-old man was found dead in an apartment building in Berlin-Lankwitz. The spokeswoman in charge did not want to comment on whether this was Mirco Nontschew. The cause of death is still unclear, a death investigation has been initiated. There is also no evidence of third-party debt.
The results of the autopsy are there
Now Bertram Riedel speaks up again and explains: “He died a natural death.” He does not reveal what exactly the comedian died of. “It is important to us that the speculations in the past few days about the death of Mirco Nontschew stop and the family can mourn in peace.”
Mirco Nontschew was only 52 years old
Mirco Nontschew became known through the program “RTL Saturday Night”. The special thing about his performances was his ability to imitate noises and tones almost perfectly. After his breakthrough he got his own show “Mircomania” on Sat.1 in 2001 and was seen in the movie “7 dwarfs – men alone in the forest” and in the sequel “7 dwarfs – the forest is not enough”. He played the dwarf “Tschakko”.
Mirco Nontschew was a regular guest of the improvisation comedy “Frei Schnauze” on RTL, in 2005 he played the Italian hit man Giuseppe in the satirical film “Siegfried”. In Otto Waalkes, 73, film “Otto’s Eleven” Nontschew was seen as Otto’s friend Mike. In 2012 Nontschew worked in the new ensemble of the comedy series “The Brazen Three” on Sat.1 alongside Oliver Beerhenke, 51, and Sophia Thomalla, 32.

The comedian was most recently seen in Michael “Bully” Herbig, 53, in the hit format “LOL – Last One Laughing”. Just recently, Nontschew turned off the new season, which should be broadcast in the spring of 2022.
Mirco Nontschew leaves two daughters behind.
