The surprising death of comedian Mirco Nonchev raises questions. The Berlin police are investigating “because of the unexplained cause of death”.

Comedian Mirco Nontschew died at the age of 52. His manager and friend Bertram Riedel confirmed this to the “Bild” newspaper. As a police spokeswoman told GALA on Saturday, December 4, 2021, a 52-year-old was found dead in an apartment building in Berlin-Lankwitz on the afternoon of December 3. The spokeswoman in charge did not want to comment on whether this was Mirco Nontschew.

“A death investigation has been initiated because the cause of death remains unexplained,” it said. There is no evidence of third-party debt. His manager Riedel asks on behalf of the Nontschew family “for consideration in this difficult time”.

Known from “RTL Saturday Night”

In the 1990s, Nontschew became a celebrated comedian, especially as a member of the cult show “RTL Saturday Night”. He also celebrated great success with the “7 dwarfs” films by and with Otto Waalkes, 73. Most recently he was on the show “LOL: Last One Laughing” by Michael Bully Herbig, 53, on the streaming service Amazon Prime Video. A new season with him has already been shot and should actually be broadcast at the beginning of next year.
