Mirco Nontschew is dead. RTL will therefore change the program on Sunday. A special broadcast will be followed by episodes of “RTL Saturday Night”.

After the completely unexpected death of comedy star Mirco Nontschew (1969-2021), his former broadcaster RTL changed the program. In the night from Sunday to Monday, following Günther Jauch’s (65) annual review “People, Images, Emotions”, the private broadcaster will initially broadcast a 40-minute special program called “In Liebe an Mirco Nontschew”.

His best scenes from the 90s cult show “RTL Saturday Night” will be shown there. In the message of the station it is also said that one would like to “remember the unique comedian”. Then several “Best of RTL Saturday Night” episodes will be repeated until the early morning.

Berlin police are investigating the unexplained cause of death

There is currently no information about the exact circumstances. The Berlin police are investigating the unexplained cause of death. However, so far there has been no evidence of third-party negligence or suicide, according to consistent media reports.
