Misleading tweets: Twitter is accelerating experimentation with a new tool

Twitter said the feature allowing users to identify misleading content will be rolled out to all its Brazilian, Spanish and Filipino members. This announcement follows a first phase of visibly conclusive testing, conducted in the United States, Australia and South Korea. Since the implementation of this option, the social network indicates that it has recorded approximately 3 million user reports which, according to it, should be deleted or moderated.

There is a good chance that after this new extension of the test phase, this function will be available worldwide. As a reminder, Twitter also promotes its Birdwatch program, an alternative site through which users can identify problematic content and contextualize their queries, explaining how the information pointed out is misleading.
