This is a surprise that Miss Marvel fans did not expect! During the latest episode of the Disney+ series, Bruno made a major revelation to Kamala Khan, revealing that the latter does not have extra-dimensional origins like her great-grandmother Aisha, but that her organism is the subject of ‘a mutation”.
Thus, the series – which had already taken great liberties with the comics Miss Marvel – will seem to change the origins of Kamala. Belonging in the comics to the Inhumans (created with the aim of replacing the X-Men, as we explained to you in this article), the young woman now sees herself connected to the mutants.
In order to leave no doubt about the upcoming arrival of mutant superheroes in the MCU, the scene is accompanied by a short excerpt from the main theme of the 1992 X-Men animated series (of which a new unreleased season will arrive on Disney+ during 2023). Note also that this same theme had also accompanied the surprise appearance of Professor Xavier, during the sequences of the Illuminati in the film Doctor Strange 2.
When and how will the X-Men officially appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe? Will they be introduced in Phase 4, dedicated to exploring the Marvel multiverse, or will we have to wait for Phase 5? So many answers to which we have no answers, but no need to specify that this scene of Miss Marvel has aroused the joy and enthusiasm of many Internet users!
