A motorcycle explosion allegedly caused chaos while filming the seventh part of the "Mission: Impossible" series in Great Britain.
Horror explosion on the set of "Mission: Impossible": While filming the seventh part of the iconic action series with Tom Cruise (58, "Jack Reacher"), a motorcycle accident apparently caused chaos. As reported by the British "The Sun", a stuntman's motorcycle exploded after jumping off a ramp in an action scene and lit a large fire. The shoot was interrupted for the time being, but apparently nobody was injured. Will the film now be delayed again after the cinema release has already been postponed from July to November 2021 due to the corona crisis?
Six weeks of preparation?
The £ 2 million most expensive action sequence in Great Britain reportedly required six weeks of preparation. The scaffolding is said to have been severely damaged by the flames that triggered the explosion. The present Tom Cruise, according to "Sun", followed the debacle. The day before, the Hollywood star is said to have personally checked the stunt set-up and, according to sources, was correspondingly upset about the incident.
"Fortunately no one was injured, but it is a total disaster, not to mention the extremely high cost for everyone involved. Tom is very frustrated. Nobody wants any further delays," an unspecified insider told the Sun.
According to sources, the set has been temporarily closed as the movie bosses want to find out what exactly went wrong. "Mission: Impossible 7" was one of the first films that had to interrupt filming due to the corona pandemic. They were then relocated from Italy to Great Britain.
