This boy has it tough. A seven-year-old loved playing games on his mother's smartphone. Now the nasty surprise came to light: the child spent a total of 2753.91 euros using in-app purchases.

It is probably clear to everyone that parents need strong nerves. However, this woman got a completely unexpected surprise when she checked the bills.

The mother of a seven-year-old had entrusted her child with her smartphone so that they can play an online game. In doing so, however, she forgot that she had left her own credit card for quick payments for in-app purchases.

Now the shock. According to the consumer advice center in Lower Saxony, the child gambled away over 2,700 euros. The amazed mother had allowed her son to use a voucher card in order to be able to spend small sums on add-ons, but had forgotten the credit card on file. The boy kept playing happily.

The good news: According to consumer protection, parents can claim the money back in such cases. Nevertheless, you should be aware of what content your child can access when using a smartphone. So it's better to double-check what the little ones are doing on their cell phones.
