Model Christy Giles dies: NCIS actor arrested for complicity in homicide

An NCIS comedian has been arrested in connection with the investigation into the mysterious death of 24-year-old supermodel Christy Giles. She had been found lifeless on November 13 under very strange circumstances just like her friend with whom she had dated the day before. The latter was brain dead and died shortly thereafter.

Brandt Osborn, the comedian appearing in the series NCIS: Los Angeles, was arrested on December 16 in the middle of filming according to the New York Post. Two other men, David Pearce and Michael Ansbach, were also arrested. “It is believed that the two women received drugs and overdosed in a residence in the 8600 block of Olympic Boulevard in the city of Los Angeles” said the authorities in a statement relayed by the American press.

On November 13, Christy Giles went out with her friend Hilda Marcela Cabrales-Arzola to celebrate her birthday. But the next day, the young model’s body was laid lifeless on a sidewalk in Los Angeles near Southern California Hospital in Culver City. As for her friend, a 26-year-old Mexican architect, she was also found in critical condition outside Kaiser Permanente West, another Los Angeles hospital.

Brandt Osborn, like Michael Ansbach, were arrested for complicity in intentional homicide. A bond of 100,000 dollars was set to release them. For his part, David Pearce is suspected of intentional homicide, and his bail has been set at one million dollars. The authorities specified that there could be other victims of these men.

David Pearce was also indicted on Friday for sexually assaulting four other women in alleged attacks dating back to 2010, the Los Angeles County prosecutor said as reported by People magazine.

A preliminary investigation had revealed that Giles’ death may have been caused by a heroin overdose. CCTV footage from the hospital reportedly showed two men dressed in black and face bandanas driving a car without license plates and dropping Christy on a sidewalk, according to the New York Post.

Christy’s phone reportedly showed that she texted Hilda around 5:30 am on November 13th to say “Let’s get out of here” with a wide-eyed emoji. Hilda reportedly replied “Yes” and said she called an Uber – but after that, Christy would not have read or replied to the messages.

Giles’ family claim that Christy did not use drugs and may have been drugged. Jan Cilliers, Giles’ husband, told ABC channel about his grief. “The loss is so hard. (…) I know that I will never be able to see her again, kiss her or touch her and it is so heartbreaking. “.
