In Call of Duty license history, the assets are an integral part of the different titlesthe latter then allowing players to have certain advantages such as being a Ghost, or even being able to track down their enemies.
If Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has lifted the veil on some details of its campaign, with in particular the official reveal of its first images, we are still waiting for those of its Multiplayer. This summer, and more precisely during the month of August, we will have the right to a first glimpse with, we hope, the list, or at least some of its assets. However, if you are impatient, a well-known leaker in the field has already shared the list of these!
Modern Warfare 2 perks have leaked!
We will never say it enough, but at the time of writing these lines, it is for the moment only a rumor, but this leak comes from the dataminer responding to the name of RealiityUK on Twitter. Unfortunately, his account got suspended since, but Call of Duty: Headquarters videographer took care to share a video on YouTube, video in which we have access to this famous list of assets.
Our dataminer has indeed managed to get his hands on this list through the data files currently present in the closed alpha of Call of Duty: Mobile Warzone (Aurora project for short). So, according to RealiityUK, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 should benefit from no less than 11 assets : Amplified, Engineer, Restock, Ghost, High Alert, Overkill, Combat Hardened, Kill Chain, Pillager, Shrapnel, and Cold Blooded.
As the leaker had specified, this is only a first draft and they are not all present yet. We should then see the final list grow further.
Custom mods in Modern Warfare 2?
As we told you, we will have the right to the revelation of Multiplayer this summer, and if we already know that we will have the right to a map editora rumor announces the arrival of Steam Workshop, a tool for creating custom mods.
At the time of writing these lines, neither Activision nor Infinity Ward has formalized this information, but the addition of such a tool would be a real plus for the FPS, allowing players to take advantage of some totally WTF mods during the months that the game will have to last while waiting for the next title which should be released in 2024!
