LThe deliberation is ultimately lower than the requisitions, to the greater satisfaction of their lawyer. Two members of the Lyon rapper collective “Les Dalton” were sentenced, Wednesday, December 22 in Lyon, to five months in prison for one and four months in suspended prison for the other, in a case of mortar fire fireworks. The events took place in the capital of Gaul on November 24. The collective is known for its repeated provocations against members of the police.
A first 18-year-old Dalton was sentenced to “four months of simple suspension”, while a second, 23-year-old, was given “five months firm but without continued detention”, told the Agence France-Presse the lawyer of the first, Amandine Fabregue. “The deliberation is therefore much lower than the requisitions, which is satisfactory,” she added. The prosecution had required six months firm, with warrant of committal, against the 23-year-old defendant and six months suspended against the 18-year-old.
Mortar fire when Jordan Bardella and Jean-Marc Morandini came to La Guillotière
The two men were arrested with a 17-year-old minor after a demonstration by the Antifa group in Lyon against the arrival of deputy RN Jordan Bardella in the popular district of Guillotière. He was the guest of a program hosted by Jean-Marc Morandini and broadcast live on the CNews channel. The defendants were accused of having detonated a dozen fireworks mortars near the imposing police cordon put in place between the politician Bardella and the host Morandini and the demonstrators.

The two “Dalton” were however released from the charge of belonging to a “group with a view to committing violence or degradation”, namely the nebulous collective. A third member, aged 17, was brought before a juvenile judge, as was another minor, also aged 17, arrested last Monday.
