Mother shaves and waxes her 4-year-old daughter because she’s ‘too hairy’, netizens outraged

A mum has posted a video of her waxing and shaving her 4-year-old daughter’s face. Internet users did not let this pass and set fire to the mother!

Children can have a number of complexes growing up and it is also up to the parents to help them get rid of them. Whether it’s hairiness, a birthmark, a scar, or even stretch marks, each particularity is to be celebrated. But it’s not always easy when you’re a child to accept that each body is different, but above all, that each body is beautiful! Parents can help on this point by discussing with their child but also by avoiding perpetuating slightly outdated standards of beauty…

A mom who shares her daily life on Tik Tok, Leah Garcia, recently posted a video of herself with her 4-year-old daughter. We see Leah waxing her daughter’s face and more precisely the little one’s eyebrow. In caption, the mom wrote “Latina problem” and the video has gone viral on social media. Many mums reacted very badly to the fact that she waxed her daughter’s face so young!

The young mother of two did not understand the outpouring of hate messages she received after posting this video. She therefore decided to explain herself in another video published on her @leah_txrealtor account. She tells : “My notifications are currently bombarded with hate messages. She asked me, so I did. I’m not a bad mother, I don’t force anything. I’m actually a really good mom, I love my kids. You shouldn’t be so mad: she’s not mad, she’s not hurt. She is a beautiful, happy, healthy little girl. If you want your child to walk around with a monobrow, that’s your decision, okay? But here we prefer not.” The mother also clarified that her little girl did not feel comfortable with this monobrow and that she was afraid that she would be laughed at.

Explanations that did not convince the parents who rushed into the comments section to express their dissatisfaction. We can read : “As soon as a parent points out a fault, it will stay with them forever.” or “By shaving her hair, it will grow back thicker and blacker when she grows up…” But she’s also gotten a lot of support from women who’ve lived with a single eyebrow and endured plenty of derogatory remarks. Some even thanked him for doing this for his daughter!
